Moderation Guidelines

All contributions are welcome. We moderate the ideas/comments submitted to this site during business hours. Your ideas will not show on this site until they have been moderated. All ideas submitted over the period that Council is closed during Christmas/New Year will be moderated when Council reopens in January.

Comments must follow the moderation rules. This is about creating a safe and respectful environment for views to be expressed.

Please stay on-topic. Refrain from posting messages that are unrelated to the discussion (including misinformation and disinformation).

Moderation rules

Inappropriate messages include but are not limited to:

• Inappropriate, offensive, abusive or illegal content. This includes comments that are discriminatory on the basis of ethnicity, age, religion, gender, disability or sexual orientation.
• Advertising of products or services
• Publication of content subject to third party copyright
• Photos or videos of people without their prior consent
• The same, or similar message published multiple times (spamming)
• Profane, obscene, threatening, abusive, offensive or defamatory messages or images
• Personal information or contact details
• Information that may compromise the safety or security of the public, staff or elected members

We reserve the right to remove individual profiles, ideas and/or comments at any time. If you have a complaint about an item of user-generated content on this site, or feel that your own content was removed in error, please contact us.
