Continue support for integrated catchment management

Continue to work with the community including iwi and Forest & Bird to model integrated catchment management in Te Hoiere/Pelorus, with results monitored and publically shared. Extend this approach to other catchments, with emphasis on local engagement and transparency. The aim is to significantly reduce sediment and nutrient runoff which degrade the receiving environment. Focus on building community engagement, capability and resilence.

Why the contribution is important

Marlborough waterways and land are seriously degraded and management has been short-term. There is an obligation to enhance natural resources and places, to benefit current and especially future generations.
