Water Takes

Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Kuia Trust support active monitoring of water takes critical to the sustainability of Wairau aquifers and waterways. Concerning to see Council have technically overallocated the Kaituna, yet there is still more water up for grabs in the system.

We encourage robust reporting on water monitoring for compliance with resource consent conditions, MEP and RM (Measurement and Reporting of water takes) Regulations 2010.
