Cycling

A network of streets that are wide enough to have parallel car parking on one side, a yellow line along the other and the central dividing line giving equal space to each side within those parameters will mean our roads are safe for cyclists, cars and trucks to use without obstructing traffic flow of any sort. We need safer streets to promote more people onto bikes in our wonderful sunny, flat town.

A safe network will make our town population healthier as using bikes for short distances promotes physical well being. Exercise is known to decrease stress and improve physical health.

Lines painted on the roads would be a cheap option if trialled on a few linked roads eg Wither Rd., Scott Rd., Alabama Rd., hopefully Redwood Rd. which would cover theSouth Eastern area initially.
