Bring back the Native birds

Planting of Native plants inside the CBD and all around the river by the new library. 

Wouldn't it be nice to walk through a town that has Native plants and ferns through out, meandering from the Taylor River up past the new library, snaking it's way into the main CBD

The river is life and if each access point was amplified by Native plantings pointing their way into town, then the main access is in front of the new library pointing to the CBD.

By bringing in the Native plants we can encourage native birds and bird loving people, we could start to include the school kids and teach them about Tui, Bell birds, Wood pigeon, fan tails and so forth and how beautiful nature is and pass that knowledge on.

The importance of the idea is to embrace nature and all the benefits it has, like dropping the temperature down in town for shoppers, increasing our native bird life somewhat like Wellington and teaching the next generations why these things are so important, from the river is life, to plant to us.
