Athletic Park entry seal replacement

The Marlborough Smallbore Rifle Association request that Council arrange to have the entry area to Athletic Park sealed with hot mix as soon as possible, and consideration be given to installing a judder bar just outside the Brewer Street gate to slow traffic down.

The area inside the gate is severely potholed and covered in loose gravel. For rifle range users leaving late at night the vehicle noise, exacerbated by the potholes and loose gravel disturbs neighbours close to the gate, which results in complaints to Council, and creates conflict. Hot mix is preferred, as coarse chip creates more noise.

The judder bars could be temporary at first, to test their effectiveness.
